Very little is known about this Star Instinct bottle. Its made to lie flat and almost resembles a thin letter opener. The stopper is made of crystal glass like old style bottles from Baccarat. Upon further inspection of the photos below, it appears to have a dauber inside on the stopper, so this is a nice extra. 4,200 bottles were produced and numbered. The Extrait de Parfum on this all crystal bottle is .34 fl. Oz.
I have recently ran accross many of these bottles on ebay for very little money, but without any case or papers. Its a real steal at that price and makes a great addition to your collection. Remember that most of these bottles are refillable, so even if you find it empty, you know you can always refill it with your fragrance of choice.
The Thierry Mugler logo has been etched into the glass on one of its facets. The numbering of the bottle has been machine made, which is not too nice, instead of it being hand numbered like most other limited edition perfume bottles. It seems to have this longer sku number etched by machine with calculator style numbers: 204098. The bottle’s number is etched No.0331, in a nicer font, but always by machine.
Thierry Mugler Angel Perfume Presentation Box
The presentation case for this swordlike bottle is made of black velvet, also like a jewelry case.
Photo from parfumangel.jimdo.com , showcasing the fine velvet case.
My star arrived in black velvet box and card as shown in your photo. My bottle’s number is 0270, this number is handwritten on the card that comes in the small blue envelope. Slightly discoloured perfume due to age tho not as brown as some!
Still smells amazing… like a smoother and chocolate/honey- heavy version of angel edp. Less sillage but very long lasting. Extremely smooth! The patchouli punch in the face has gone!
Glass stopper with rod applicator is exquisite! HOWEVER I managed to snap it off after 2 applications… had to use a hammer and tiny nail to chip away enough of the bottle to remove applicator and decant into airtight container! Phew…
#devastated but have salvaged the juice at least….
I have just ordered one, BNIB and SO EXCITED! Will let you know what it is like…this version isn’t even listen on fragrantica, my usual goto!
I just stumbled upon it… #luckyday
Yes, thank you. Fragantica usually focuses on the scent, whereas Luxcollectors tends to focus more on the bottle’s design. Let me know if yours comes with any documentation cards or box, thanks.
It should be with me early next week! I cannot wait!
This blog is amazing, what a fantastic job you have done!
