French Fashion Designer, Thierry Mugler, introduced in 1994 the very successful Angel perfume.  Usually encased in a Star shape, Angel has been redesigned each Winter season with a collectable perfume bottle that is usually numbered and produced in a limited edition by renowned French glassmakers Brosse.  These bottles were originally called “Angel Couture Collection” Limited Edition Angel Star (E’toile).  Most of these bottles come with an identification number engraved on the bottle and a certificate of authenticity attesting to its rarity. I will try and include a photo of each bottles certificate or information accumulated over the years.  Usually sold in high end luxury stores like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdales.

For the 1994/1995 Winter Season, Mugler released the Angel Couture Star, (Etoile Couture), 1994.  This is a large and heavy crystal glass bottle made by Brosse in a production of 6,500 bottles that retailed for $250.  Eau de Parfum 2.6 Fl. Oz.  Hand polished star shaped stopper with numbered etched on the base, a black velvet necktie adorned the bottles neck.

It has got to be one of my favorite bottles, I am surprised I have not seen it as often on ebay, seeing that they made 6,500 of them!  I had one of them stolen by my housemaid and I had to buy another one to replace it.  This bottle did not bring a certificate of authenticity.  After 23 years the liquid in this and in most of the Angel bottles will turn this shade of blue/green.  The good thing is that Mugler.com and most department stores that carry Angel fragrance have the eco refill bottle of just the liquid that can easily be refilled into any of these collectable masterpieces, and thus let you enjoy them after the fragrance has gone stale.  I have also made a factice blue water mixture to refill some of my displayed bottles so that they have a light blue color similar to its original liquid.
